For less than a month from the start of registration of domains in Cyrillic “bg”, 3285 names of the native alphabet have been already requested. 1690 organizations and citizens have used the opportunity to be included in the new Bulgarian Internet Area. From 8th of February until 8th of May is the period in which are requested and registered domains with “protected” names as well as addresses in Cyrillic, which do not enter in the lists of reserved names.

Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Hristo Alexiev inspected the new electronic system to control the theoretical exams of applicants for drivers. He visited the regional department of "Road Transport Administration" in Sofia, where today were held the first exams in specially equipped halls. The results indicated that 64 out of 84 applicants have passed successfully.

Revenues of BDZ from entertainment trips may reach 4 million BGN per year, stated the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Hristo Alexiev today during a demonstration journey by steam locomotive to the Cherepish monastery with the participation of Prime Minister Ognian Gerdjikov, ministers and diplomats.

The first meeting of the Public Expert Council on IT and Internet to the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications was held. Long-term measures to maintain the fairway of the Danube discussed today the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Hristo Alexiev and the European Coordinator of the "Rhine - Danube" corridor Karla Peijs. She thanked Minister Alexiev for the emergency measures undertaken by him related to maintenance of the fairway and the improvement of navigation along the Danube River.

All contracts with contractors to build the first stage of the third metro line have been signed, stated Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Lubomir Hadjiysky at a ceremony to launch the activity of the tunnel boring machine that will construct the third beam of Sofia metro.

Directorate General "Civil Aviation Administration" (DG CAA) obtained a certificate for successfully introducing a system of quality management ISO 9001: 2008.

The certificate was issued by Intertek Bulgaria after a successfully conducted recertification audit of the Quality management system of DG CAA.

The event has taken place today in the Tarde Union Home of the Transport Worker, Sofia.

The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications will organize a series of events in the field of transport policy and telecommunications, as part of the calendar of the forthcoming Bulgarian Presidency of the EU Council in 2018. The initiatives were proposed after extensive public consultation, including with NGOs and ICT businesses and is due to be agreed with the EU institutions.

Заместник-министрите на транспорта, информационните технологии и съобщенията Любомир Хаджийски и Георги Тодоров откриха церемония по представяне на документално издание, посветено на историята на транспортни войски. „Книгата „Коловози на дълга“ съдържа над 150 архивни и съвременни снимки, над 20 интервюта на съавтори и хора, които са част от живата история на транспортните строители“, заяви заместник-министър  Хаджийски. Той подчерта, че за първи път в изданието са събрани нови факти и е включена пълна историческа хронология на създаването и дейността на организациите, които са изградили инфраструктурата на независимата българска държава след 1888 година.

 

По думите на заместник-министър Хаджийски, изданието ще допринесе за обогатяване на академичната подготовка на студентите, избрали кариера в транспортния сектор, както и за всички родолюбиви българи от младото поколение

 

„Коловози на дълга“ е посветена на 130-годишнината на бившите войски на Министерството на транспорта, както и на 15 години от създаването на Държавно предприятие „Транспортно строителство и възстановяване“ и Висшето транспортно училище „Тодор Каблешков“. Съставител на книгата е Асен Йосифов, а съавтори са още 11 личности, свързани с историята на транспортни войски.

We are working on a software for improving the control during technical inspections. That stated the Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Georgi Todorov during the todays debate on road safety – “For 100 lives more“, organized by newspaper “24 hours”. During the performance of the technical inspections, the data from the devices will be registered on-line in the central system of the Executive Agency Automobile Administration. Based on the received information, the platform will automatically define the validity of the inspection, said Georgi Todorov.

Zero tolerance for non-compliance of safety and security standards for the transport of passengers and freights in the railway sector. That stated the caretaker Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Hristo Alexiev in an extraordinary meeting with the Railway Administration Executive Agency (RAEA) and the Railway Accidents Investigation Unit. The reason for it was yesterday's accident with the composition of the private railway undertaking in Dylgopol-Komunari interstation.

Four project proposals  were  submitted under the third invitation of the Connecting Europe Facility "Transport" sector (Cohesion package). Two projects were submitted by State Enterprise "Air Traffic Control", one of State Enterprise "National Company Railway Infrastructure" and one of "Road Infrastructure Agency". The total investment value is 207 million euros  and EU funding amounts to 85%.
